This EP on Grey Meta is one the spaciest releases we had here in a while. “Tosei Gusoku” is an interesting piece of contemporary electronic music. On the one hand it is very calm and an introspective listening experience. When I heard the first notes playing, I immediately thought of some ambient similar to Boards of Canada or the like. Attrition is truly as unique as its author. Slikback is a name you hopefully know by now and if not, please always keep this guy in mind. Seriously, this guy from Kenya is absolutely reshaping acoustics with every release. The sound design on this album is as alien as it could be, but it still clearly draws back to contemporary genres and further musical abominations. Even though this album has been out since April, it did not find us until very recently. “Satisfaction” by “Infinity Division” is a superb LP that features 13 tracks in total with some guest appearances by hard electronic masterminds such as Baseck. From the first to the last track this album stands out and delivers ruthless Jungle and Breakcore vibes mixed with Hardcore aesthetics along with some ravey vibes – and occasional screams.
