Manu le Malin – Dernière Danse Part. 01 + 02

Every now and then a label pops up and you completely overlook it. Luckily, this one didn’t go unnoticed. MKNK is a decent example of a label that offers hope in a time of – well you know how screwed up everything has become… Anyway, MKNK is the imprint of Manu le Malin or at least he curates it. Moreover, there is a whole Hardcore squad involved from the Astropolis guys, Trasher, and also distros such as Triple Vision. The label also already has a distinct visual direction that really shines.

But what about the music? So far, 2 records were released with some highly sought-after Manu le Malin tracks (with appearances by the DJ Producer and Vitalic), some of them nearly 30 years old. The audio material was meticulously restored by Scan X and Deathmachine and really sounds outstanding. The tracks basically cover the whole range of banging Hardcore Techno that works at every BPM. Seriously outstanding music that just sits and feels right. As dark as it gets and such damn good build ups and interesting twists. Not sure what’s ahead, but for now both EPs are splendid and definitely a nice surprise for every collector! We are curious about the upcoming future and especially about the acts the label will promote.
