This magnificent release by Ruby my Dear popped up on Bandcamp recently and is just incredible. While the French mastermind is already known for having an intimate relationship with breakbeats, this release adds some madness to the mix that has not been heard yet.

The drumming is simply insane. Completely hectic and off the grids, but precise and always on point. But it’s not that alone that makes the EP stand out. The excessive acid overflows and the support of the moody melodics helps to slightly level out (or even amplify) the weirdness.

All in all, the EP sounds just futuristic and classic at the same time. The sound design and the synths just sound full and warm and give the EP a very earthed vibe. It’s playful, but serious and offers a rich acoustic landscape to discover. Simply wonderful!
