The already third full album by Tripped features 10 solid bangers which are not restricted to contemporary hardcore at all. On the other hand, the album is as hardcore as it gets. The kickdrum design draws back to the old-school, while the sound design is classic Tripped style. With a ton of ultra heavy synth lines and hectic loops, you can get easily get hooked on the sound. There are not that many DJs that are playing in a league of their own. The kind of set Baseck and Flapjack ripped at Warp mode is just something else. Everyone who digs hardcore and scratching most likely would agree here that this shit is the shit! On 4, yes f-o-u-r, turntables they deliver a set that is unmatched in every way.

The first appearance of Thrasher on Deathchant is actually pretty amazing. While it requires not only skills, a real DC release also needs flow and style. And actually, this EP has it all. The production quality is very good and totally fits the Deathchant cosmos. Apart from the very first track which solely relies on some questionable vocal sample choice (it’s really kinda lame in 2024 in my personal opinion), all tracks showcase all the ingredients of a good Deathchant release. Holy crap, this came rather unexpected. Rotterdam’s one and only Mike Redman aka Deformer released a remix EP of some of his tracks along with Prspct. On the EP some of hardcore’s true legends appeared such as Angerfist, the Outside Agency, Neophyte, Drokz, Tripped, Dolphin and N-Vitral (even though this remix sadly did not reach my eardrums very well).
