Needles in the Night – Soft Tissue

Ok, that’s something that wasn‘t on our list yet. Needles in the night is a producer with lots of talent (for more context, this is 50% of Gathering Storm). “Soft Tissue” on Dark.Descent is a noisy, technoish Hardcore release with lots of unique characteristics that fit the label perfectly! Every single track sounds distinct without losing any consistency regarding the overall concept of the EP. The driving rhythms stick out easily when it comes to contemporary Hardcore styles. Everything sounds meticulously crafted. Just listen to the noisescapes and you’ll recognize how lovely and crunchy they are. The sound is surely […]

Eternal Idols : SWARM

One of the most anticipated EP just came out and it was totally worth the wait. The “Eternal Idols” Ep which was released right about 2 years ago on PRSPCT got a proper remix treatment by some of the biggest names in the game as well as some aspiring artists that enrich the scene at the moment with their individual take on Industrial Hardcore. The remix EP was released on Karnage Records and is definitely a nice addition to the already pretty impressive original EP. With 8 tracks it is an all killer no filler release that leads the way. […]

Lenny Dee @ HÖR – 29.04.25

When one of the true originators of Hardcore comes to HÖR, shit’s gonna hit the fan. Lenny Dee is a mixing beast and brought along some of the finest contemporary Hardcore for his set. It’s also a lot of fun to watch Lenny Dee do his thing. You can easily see that this guy really loves what he’s doing.

Peter Kurten – Filthcast 062

Whenever you see a Peter Kurten mix, you should quickly tune in. For the latest Barcode podcast, he selected a quick and dirty little journey from hard Drum and Bass to Crossbreed. With the mix he’s celebrating his first price in the Blackhole remix competition. The track’s of course also in the mix and as mentioned already, you know what to expect. Tracklist: BARCODE RECORDINGS · Filthcast 062 featuring Peter Kurten

Nagazaki – Alternative Structures

Most readers know Nagazaki most likely from his releases on labels such as Prototypes. Apart from the hard hitting Industrial Hardcore sound we are familiar with, his latest release on Murder Channel is embracing a more cineastic approach. It’s all very thought- and playful with tons of breaks heavily chopped apart. A nice surprise for everyone who is tired of same shit over and over again. Seriously, the whole EP sounds like a very coherent piece of music and is worth every minute of it. Moreover, it is available on a donation basis. Consider also sending a few bucks for […]

Kapotcast.26: Embrionyc

Next up is a mix that does not necessarily be called a mix. This is definitely more than that. Embrionyc is not only one of the most versatile artists out there, he is also one of the most productive ones, too. With a ton of unreleased tracks on his hard drives, he surprised us with an astonishing mix for Kapotcast. Seriously, this is just insanity in all its glory. In about an hour Embrionyc showcases solely unreleased projects. Of course, distortion is still the common ground for alle of the music in here. This a nice journey to hell and […]

Sound of Hell Podcast028 – Krytika

Another super solid mix dropped recently by Krytika. As you may have noticed his focus shifted slightly to a bit slower sound far away from the mid-170s sound. This means here, you can listen to an Industrial Hardcore mix he recorded for Sound of Hell from Berlin. There’s not much more to add. The mix stands for itself and needs no further description! DJ Hidden – The Snares – Hard Drum n Bass – 2025

Even though not everybody is as much into snares as DJ Hidden, this mix is a good way to dive into dark Drum and Bass with a special focus on the harder styles. Lots of us still dig the percussive sound that was popular in sub-genres such as darkstep, halfstep, skullstep and so on. This mix is basically a best of that captures the essence of this snare driven sound perfectly. The mixing is obviously pretty nice, as expected from DJ Hidden. Moreover, this is apparently only part 1, so stay tuned for the next episode! 01. Limewax – Untitled […]

Gopnik – Life Is Pain, Hardcore Is Suffering

The first release on Madback from GOPNIK is an outstanding, authentic hardcore EP. It sounds on the one hand as if it fell straight out of a time machine, but on the other hand it still feels absolutely fresh – well, because it is! Super solid piece of wax for hardcore enthusiasts who appreciate harshness and dark atmospheres. With 3 original tracks and a remix by Tripped you get a highly recommended EP that definitely fits in every bag and every set. If you dig the artwork by Tripped, also check out his stuff at creativenoisetrash.com Life Is Pain, Hardcore […]
